WE'RE LOOKING FOR new and cutting-edge works of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry.

WE DON'T want or offer what everybody else has, and we’re looking for writers who feel the same way. We want writers who value the written and unwritten word, people who take notes in leather-bound books, or write novels in the notes app of their smartphones, who used vintage technology before the price hyper-inflates on eBay after season 15 of Stranger Things, who move us, who shake our tender cores down to the fiber of our being. If that’s you, show us something cool. Show us something INFINITE.

WE ACCEPT fiction and creative nonfiction works under 3000 words, and 1-4 poems under 100 lines each.

WE CURRENTLY only accept electronic submissions which can be submitted through this Google Form. If you don't have a Google account to upload files, email us at infinitescrollmagazine@gmail.com. Kindly specify your type of submission in the subject line of the email.

PLEASE SUBMIT your work in .txt, .doc, .docx, or .pdf format. For fiction/nonfiction, your submissions should be size 12, Times New Roman (or Georgia to get on Amanda's good side), double-spaced (for fiction/nonfiction) but obviously this is not possible if you send us a .txt file. Though if you do send us plain-text, we’ll think you’re automatically pretty cool. If you're submitting poetry, send us one document containing all poems.

WE DON'T accept simultaneous submissions, or previously published work.

WE ENJOY tradition, but equally enjoy the breaking of tradition, the shattering of molds, the reconstruction of the scaffolding of language.

ABOUT

INFINITE SCROLL believes in an INFINITE realm of possibilities. It’s possible that every single word has been written and defined already, but there are new arrangements of these words that take shape and create meaning everyday. Other journals/lit. mags exist that are cuter, prettier, fluffier, bubblier, than us, but we place the value and the majority of our focus on your words, not the superfluous visuals that exist around them. This site is primarily plain-text, therefore it can be viewed on just about anything, including a dial-up computer from 1994, a smartphone from 2030, and a flip phone from 2003, (though ideally on your modern day computer) all with the same level of clarity and precision. INFINITE SCROLL is focused on filtering out the INFINITE noise of our digital landscape, and in doing so, entering new voices into the conversation. New voices that have something to say about our world, our technology, our reality, our mortality, our infinity.

THOMAS is head honcho of INFINITE SCROLL, and a writer based in New Jersey, though with the internet, does physical location even matter anymore? He currently teaches First-Year Writing at Rowan University, and his poetry has been featured in work by Local Gems Poetry Press. He’s trying his best to hate computer programming as much as humanly possible.

AMANDA is the actual head honcho of INFINITE SCROLL, and an essayist currently based in New Jersey, but spiritually located in her homeland, Brazil. Right now, she's obtaining her M.A. in Writing at Rowan University, and her essays have miraculously appeared in Brevity and The South Jersey Times. She spends most of her time blaming her depressive episodes on her zodiac sign, and would rather get a lobotomy than download TikTok, though the former could be achieved through the latter.
